MT. BINAIYA 3.027 M
OVERVIEW
Mount Binaiya (3.027 m) is the tallest mountain in the Island of Maluku. It's located in Seram Island and part of Manusela National Park. Mount Binaiya is one of the Seven Summits of Indonesia (popularized by Hendri Agustin), and is the second hardest after Carstensz Pyramid.
There are three routes usually used to climb Mount Binaiya. All of these routes will pass several villages. We choose one of two routes in south side from Yaputih Village that needs 6 days trip (the fastest one).
We will walk through beautiful jungle and cross some rivers. At the upper part, we will walk through the stone. This mountain is not only very beautiful, we can also feel the culture of native people in every village that we will pass.
Climbing Binaiya needs a good physical condition because everyday we will have to walk about 8 hours through a challenging terrain.
