Amazing trip to Carstensz. Imosa staff's took care of us from A-Z. Everything went perfectly according to plan. We summited on 21st of August. The guide did a great job taking me and my friend to the top. We couldn't have asked for better guiding. And thanks for his patience.
The staff in Timika was just amazing at taking care of us outside the mountain. Whether it was to organize tickets or pick ups or the helicopter, everything was handled with super professionalism.

Security and Safety are a must!
Since September 2019, Papua is forbidden for international tourists. This policy is taken due to insecure situations all over Papua including at the mountain range. It isn't safe even for a helicopter option.
The uncertain and prolonged war situation between the rebels and the Indonesian security forces has caused the tourism industry there to die down, especially those that rely on foreign guests.
Imosa will not offer or provide any services until conditions are safe and permission is granted by government.
